Eddie Li is a 24-year old artist with Autism who lives in Toronto. He studied art through private lessons. As he finds language challenging, abstract expressionist art is his way of communicating his ideas and emotions. He enjoys working with fluid art. His vibrant artwork is mainly inspired by nature. Eddie has had sold out solo shows at his teacher’s studio and has participated in public art shows such as the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, Riverdale Art Walk, Artwalk in the Square and Art in the Park Oakville. ARTIST STATEMENT
Eddie Li finds great joy in being out in nature with its abundance of colour, flows of energy and light, refreshing wind and harmonious sounds, all of which inspires his art. He loves vibrant colours which he uses to create joyful works of art to uplift the viewer. He seeks to communicate his love of our natural environment in his paintings. He works with fluid art where the acrylic paints are mixed, poured and layered on canvas, then blown out to create his visions.The flow of colours tell their own story to each person who views it.
