Since 2009, Sejin Theriault, was diagonosed with ASD/PDD. His disability to communicate verbally is not an obstacle to connect with others. Through his creations, he showed himself as a dedicated and creative artist. He's been working with his school and community to develop his art skills. His latest painting, "Zero" recieved the OSSTF student achievement award as honorable mention on Apr.2nd, 2025. Also in Dec. 2024, he received the entrepreneurship in action grant for his class from Peel District School Board.

He speaks rarely but understand quite well if you talk slowly and clearly.

ARTIST STATEMENT

As an autistic artist, I understand better when it's communicated visually. Ever since my teacher introduced me to collage technique, I love the possibility it gives me to express myself without limitation.

Making abstract arts is also another benefit for me to explore and express my emotions and share them with others.

This is my first public exhibition, and I am so happy to have this unexpected opportunity to make my dreams come true.
