The Lakeshore Art Trail opens with a warm welcome to the public, featuring speeches from event organizers, local artists, and community leaders. These remarks highlight the event's importance in Mississauga's art scene, its history, and the diverse talent showcased. Attendees will gain insight into the vision behind the trail and the exciting events planned for the day.

The artist show and sale at the Lakeshore Art Trail offers a unique opportunity to explore and purchase original works from a diverse group of local artists. Workshop: Wild Irises in Soft Pastel | Instructor: Fulya Bulur
In this 2 hour workshop students will draw the provided reference image (wild irises) using soft pastels on black sanded paper. The instructor will demonstrate each step, guiding the students through layering their composition. Students will learn value, composition, complimentary colours, layering and the step by step process of working with soft pastels.

Located in the shared space at the Small Arms Inspection Building, the market offers a variety of locally sourced produce, artisanal goods, and handmade treats. Visitors can enjoy browsing the market’s offerings while exploring the art show, creating a perfect blend of creativity and community.

On day two of the Lakeshore Art Trail, the event continues with a lively and engaging atmosphere. Attendees can enjoy interactive art demonstrations and live music while browsing the diverse array of artwork on display. Visitors have another chance to meet the artists, explore their work, and purchase original pieces, making it a perfect day to experience creativity and local culture.

Join us for a Walk and Talk of the Lakeshore Art Trail lead by local artist, educator and arts administrator–Amanda Foulds. Foulds will lead the group through a guided discussion focusing on a few artist exhibiting in the Trail. Engage deeply in looking, discuss critical ideas and hear others perspective on the artworks visited during the Walk and Talk.
