Oil
My subject matter is large and varied and includes floral, seashell still life's, waterscapes and landscapes. I am fascinated by the patterns of water movement, reflections and leaves floating on this complicated view. I use the Old Masters style mostly, but adapted my own way. I recently branched out to thicker paint applications which enhance my artwork by seeing hash marks which become part of the paintings patterns. I continue to explore new ways to deliver my message through experimentation with painting techniques and colour. My feeling is that artwork rendered well will always stand the test of time and will be a good investment. Website: adrianarinaldi.com |
ARTIST STATEMENT
The Evolution of a new painting technique
I have been painting in the Old Masters Technique for quite a while now. I love the technique and still love to use it in creating larger than life realism still life’s.
Recently, I have started exploring painting our beautiful Canadian landscape, not only because I knew there was a demand for it, but because my art soul demanded it. I wanted to apply paint thicker and more spontaneously with bright and luscious colours. I’ve created a few paintings in this technique now and can’t wait to do more using a different variation of colours……. This is a new excitement for me. I would recommended to any artist to “change it up”. Even just temporarily. Come to the LAT and view my evolution and growth as I tackle this new technique.
