Celina Melo
Coordinator
Celina Melo is a landscape painter, working in acrylic and mixed media. Melo graduated from York University with a BFA Hons. Spec. Visual Arts and a B.Ed in 2006.
She has been the Coordinator of the Lakeshore Art Trail since 2020. She is also a juried member of Colour and Form Society, a member of Mississauga Arts Council, and Ontario College of Teachers. She is currently the Arts Department Head of a Mississauga high school. She lives in Mississauga and enjoys cottage life in Tiny on the shores of Georgian Bay with her husband and daughters. Sue Archibald
Treasurer
Sue Archibald graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Guelph, specializing in painting and drawing. Studies continued with Grant McEwen School of Design in Alberta, The Toronto School of Art, Haliburton School of Fine Arts, and an ongoing association with Etobicoke Art Group, and Neilson Park Creative Centre.
Currently acting as Treasurer - Lakeshore Art Trail, Membership Board Director - Etobicoke Art Group, and past Exhibitions Curator - Summer & Grace Gallery. Mina Vancardo
Secretary
Mina Vancardo graduated with a BA in Art and Art History from the University of Toronto. Immediately following her degree, she completed her Bachelor of Education and has been teaching teens Visual Arts since 2001.
A balance of classical and emotional (technical and experimental) instruction is the center of her teaching practice; encouraging her students to learn from artists while experimenting and exploring as an approach to finding the artist within. Website: www.minavancardo.com |
Leslie Buckle
Exhibit Layout Coordinator
Leslie was born in Mississauga, Ontario and has travelled extensively, living in Africa as a child and in Albany, New York in early adulthood. She received a Ph.D. in Biopsychology in 1998 and worked for many years as a data analyst. Leslie discovered the joy of painting after the birth of her first child.
She now lives in Port Credit and draws inspiration for florals and landscapes from this beautiful area on Lake Ontario. Layal Annan
Workshop Program Coordinator
A full time artist, Layal grew up in the Mediterranean, in a family of artists. She began experimenting with different drawing techniques and later studied art and painting at a local college, under the mentorship of several accomplished painters.
In 2000 she decided to incorporate computer graphics into her techniques and took a one year course at The International Academy of Design in Toronto and graduated with honours.
