Watercolour Rosemary Broos is a passionate artist who has dedicated over 20 years to the world of painting. With a rich portfolio of solo and juried exhibitions, she has earned acclaim for her mastery of oils. Mentored by the late Michael Spillane, her work reflects a deep appreciation for art’s nuances. Inspired by the impressionist greats, especially Monet, Rosemary infuses her pieces with a captivating interplay of light and colour. ARTIST STATEMENT
I have always had a passion for the creative side of life and am drawn to the raw beauty of landscapes and magnificent florals. I try to capture on canvas and photographic images the essence of what I am feeling to evoke a sense of wonder.
I enjoy working with a variety of medium however oils have been my number one choice.
I have studied at Visual Arts Mississauga & under the direction of Michael Spillane @ Spillane Studio of Fine Arts. I have participated in solo and juried shows and belong to the Thursday Artists group. My influences are the impressionist painters of a time past.
