PLEASE NOTE:
This application is specifically designed for students grade 10-12 who are currently enrolled in school within Mississauga. Only those who meet these criteria will be considered.

Who is eligible to apply?
The call is open to Mississauga students currently enrolled in Grades 10, 11, or 12.
How do I apply?
Complete the application form available at the end of these FAQ's.
Can I sell my artwork?
Yes, if you wish to sell your work, please ensure your contact information is displayed clearly with your piece.
When does the call open?
The call for submissions opens on Monday, September 8, 2025.
What is the deadline to apply?
Applications must be submitted by Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
When will I be notified if my work has been accepted?
Selected artists will be notified by Friday, October 3, 2025 via the email provided in your application.
Can teachers submit on behalf of students?
No. However, teachers are encouraged to support and guide students in completing their own applications.
Is there a fee to participate?
No. Participation is completely free.
How many pieces can I submit?
You may submit up to three pieces for consideration. Please note that submission does not guarantee acceptance.
Does my artwork need to follow a specific theme?
No, there is no required theme for submissions.
What types of artwork are accepted?
We welcome the following media:
Where and when will the artwork be displayed?
Venue: Small Arms Inspection Building
Address: 1352 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, ON L5E 1E9
Dates: Saturday, October 18 & Sunday, October 19, 2025
Selected works will be featured in a group exhibition alongside other young artists.
Do I need to attend the art show both days?
You are not required to be present for the entire event, but we encourage each artist to attend for a few hours to engage with the public. Please consider volunteering.
Is there a fee to attend the show?
No. Admission is free and open to the public. Invite your friends and family!
Can I volunteer at the event?
Yes! We’d love your help. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact us at info@lakeshorearttrail.com.
Are there size restrictions for submitted artwork?
Yes. Each piece must not exceed 24” x 30”.
If I’m accepted, how do I deliver my artwork?
All selected pieces must be dropped off to the Small Arms Inspection Building on Friday, October 17, 2025 between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
If you’re unable to drop off during this time, please email us to make alternate arrangements.
